The City of Noblesville will be hosting a community meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Noblesville City Hall, 16 S. 10th St. The purpose of the meeting will be to gather suggestions from the public regarding the creation of a cultural arts district in downtown Noblesville. The city was awarded a technical assistance grant from the Indiana Arts Commission that will allow a consultant to work with city staff, key community arts stakeholders, and members of the public in order to create a plan that will further advance the arts in Noblesville.
Attendees of the community input session will hear a brief synopsis about the vision of the Cultural Arts Working Group as well as receive a cultural arts asset map of downtown Noblesville. After the presentation, attendees will be asked to share their opinions, experiences, and suggestions about cultural arts initiatives and the creation of a cultural district in Noblesville. It is not necessary to attend the entire two hour input session – people are welcome to arrive late or leave early as needed. RSVP’s are not required for the community meeting.
