“I feel honored to have played a role in the history and redevelopment of Fort Ben and leave with strong friendships forged during my time as director of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority,” the letter stated. “I am proud to leave the FHRA set up for success with partners identified for the few remaining parcels and am excited to announce that Heather Millikan will be stepping in as acting director to be sure that no momentum is lost during the transition.”

Dunston also outlined some of the noteworthy accomplishments during her time at FHRA, such as nearly $120 million in investments, including an addition of 350 residential units, a Hilton Tru Hotel and an Indianapolis Public Library brand.

“There will be much to celebrate in the next few years at the Fort,” the letter stated.
