Central Indiana Dance Ensemble’s 2020-21 season continues with “Mixed Rep,” a repertoire performance featuring original contemporary works and culminating with excerpts from Marius Petipa’s classical ballet “Paquita.”
CIDE Artistic/Executive Director Suzann DeLay brings a wealth of experience from her professional career with Sacramento Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet to CIDE students and audiences in central Indiana, resulting in a high-quality performance presented by aspiring pre-professional dancers alongside professional guest artists.
In addition to world premieres by the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble artistic staff Michael Casey Clark, Ashley Jacobs and Jillian Godwin, the performance features original works by guest choreographers Mauro Villanueva and Kenny Borchard.
For the first time CIDE’s performance of “Mixed Rep” will be livestreamed from The Tarkington at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel. Encouraged by the success of its 2020 virtual production of “The Nutcracker,” CIDE staff wanted to offer the viewing option to patrons.
