Fishers Police Dept. announced Feb. 3 that it was investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred Feb. 2 on Southeastern Parkway near Isle of Man Boulevard that resulted in one fatality.
James Fetters, a 76-year-old Fishers resident involved in the crash, was severely injured and transported to an area hospital, where he later died. The other driver, Terry Wright, 47, of Greenfield, only sustained minor injuries.
According to the press release, Fetters was driving a Polaris Sportsman ATV and Wright was driving a silver Ram 1500 pickup truck. Upon arrival, officers observed both vehicles just off the roadway. Based on evidence and witness statements, the crash occurred when the Fetters attempted to cross Southeastern Parkway on his ATV. The crash remains under investigation. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
