The Boone County Economic Development Corp. will cohost a workshop for county nonprofits interested in creating an art project.
Boone County nonprofits interested in completing an art project are encouraged to attend the 4 p.m., Jan. 7 workshop via Zoom to learn about available funding from the Indiana Arts Commission, which also hosts the workshop.
“We’re pleased to provide this opportunity to help local nonprofits receive funding to bring more art projects to Boone County and improve the quality of life for our residents,” Boone County EDC Workforce and Community Development Manager Amy Hammerle stated.
Arts Project Support grants provide funding for arts activities, such as a one-time event, a single production, an exhibition, an educational seminar or series of related arts activities, such as art classes or training sessions, according to a press release.
“The IAC is excited to support the arts projects and arts organizations of Boone County,” IAC Arts Education and Accessibility Manager Stephanie Haines stated. “Grants workshops are a great way for the IAC to hear what is important to a community and help guide applicants through the grant process one-on-one.”
