Noblesville Schools has added two new staff members to its administration team. Doug Miller was appointed as the new principal of Noblesville East Middle School, and Heather Young was appointed as Noblesville High School’s alternative education administrator.

Miller transitioned into his new role this month. NEMS’ former principal, Ryan Rich, moved to the district level to work in high school and middle school curriculum.

Miller, of Noblesville, has 25 years of experience in school leadership in Lafayette, Crawfordsville, Lebanon, Indianapolis and Sheridan.

“Doug has been actively involved in the Noblesville community for years and is widely

respected for his extensive leadership experience, integrity and compassion for others,”

Associate Supt. Dave Mundy stated.

Young joined the NHS team from her previous role as dean at Fishers High School. She has a background in alternative program leadership in Indianapolis and Peoria, Ill.

“Heather is a top-notch leader in alternative education and we couldn’t be more pleased that she’s accepted our offer to share her talents with us,” Mundy stated.

Young will report to NHS Principal Craig McCaffrey. She will be responsible for growing the district’s alternative school offerings into a program that will ultimately be housed in the new Noblesville Schools Community Center on Field Drive.
