City launches new app

The City of Fishers recently launched Fishers Connect, a new mobile app that allows residents to report issues directly to city departments.

Fishers Connect is designed for nonemergency issues related to the city, such as roadways, street signs, stormwater, water, sewer, streetlights and park infrastructure. The app provides links to city information and forms related to city services. It is free and available for download for Apple and Android users.

Residents can take a photo of the issue and submit it with a description and GPS location to the city’s departments. Residents can track the progress of the issue and receive confirmation when it’s been fixed. A map of all reported issues also is available.

Residents can comment on issues reported by others. The app integrates social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and NextDoor.

The City of Fishers’ Business Solutions Group partnered with developer SeeClickFix to create the app.
“Fishers Connect makes it easier than ever for our residents to report concerns directly to their city government, and allows for increased transparency as residents can view all of the issues reported across their community and follow the progress of these issues until they are resolved,” Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness stated. “We are always looking to centralize information and resources for our residents, and Fishers Connect truly serves as that one-stop shop.”
