ISDH reports 487 new cases of COVID-19

The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 487 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 31,376 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus following corrections to yesterday’s total.

To date, 37.5 percent of ICU beds are available, and 81.6 percent of ventilators are available.

A total of 1,824 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 12 since yesterday. Another 152 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record, following a correction to yesterday’s total. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 220,801 tests have been reported to the ISDH, up from 214,933 on Saturday.
