Special guests from the Indiana Wind Symphony join in Actors Theatre of Indiana’s Seventh Friday Night Live presentation of “Music Heals and Unifies” including special performances by ATI Co-Founders Don Farrell, Judy Fitzgerald and Cynthia Collins and Executive Director Jim Reilly. The online program is set for 7:30 p.m. May 1 on Facebook Live.
Hundreds of fans have been joining in each week as ATI continues to find ways to use social media to present a program of music during the stay-at-home restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Indiana Wind Symphony, founded in 1997, is made up of 65 members, including professional musicians and music educators. This wind ensemble consists of members of the woodwind, brass and percussion families of instruments.
The special guests from include Charles Conrad, founder and music director of the Indiana Wind Symphony, along with Carl Butler and Jeff Goens, two of the symphony’s featured musicians.
Also joining the show is Katy Gentry McCord singing Judy Garland songs. McCord previously performed with ATI twice with “Beyond the Rainbow.”
The Carmel Symphony Orchestra will host its fourth Saturday night show at 7:30 p.m. May 2 on CSO’s Facebook page. “Holidays in May” will be part of the show and will feature selections from the “Holiday Pops” concert. Joining CSO Music Director Janna Hymes will be musicians Ann Manship, violin, and Karen Sheely, flute. They will share facts about their lives and careers.
