Carmel Clay Schools selects new logo concept, tagline

Carmel Clay Schools has selected a concept for its new logo.

Digital design students at Carmel High School submitted four options that were presented at a school board meeting in February. The district then presented the logos to the CCS executive team, school board members and other key staff members. Approximately 88 percent of respondents selected the same option as their top choice.

The logo features a roundabout, two Cs and three areas representing the high school, middle schools and elementary schools.

The logo will be paired with a new tagline developed by DECA students during the 2018-19 school year: Together We Achieve.

“For these two groups (of students), it was a real-world application for what they were doing in the classroom,” school board President Michael Kerschner said.

The district will identify a local graphic designer to refine the logo concept and tie it in with the tagline.

The school board will vote on the refined logo and tagline package at a future meeting.
