Letter: Just maybe we will prevail into a better place

0

Editor,

We are deeply shaken by the impacts of COVID-19 — but just maybe, we will prevail into a better place.

Just maybe, we will find our souls, instead of following our egos.

Just maybe, we will find happiness in each other, instead of our riches.

Just maybe, we will look to help others instead of ourselves.

Just maybe, we will find the courage to knock down civil barriers and hold all hands.

Just maybe, we will accept all faiths, for each faith has meaning to all who follow.

Just maybe, we will learn what we have is more than what we need.

Just maybe, we will find peace in unity and equality instead of what we don’t believe.

Just maybe, we can find our best in others by viewing life as a gift, a treasure we have but can’t have forever.

Just maybe, tomorrow will bring us back to a better place than before this all started.

We are at a time where our destiny is being challenged, a time where we all need to learn and seek what makes life so precious – it is all of us, instead of one of us.

Derek Gryna, Carmel
