The Boone County Economic Development Corp. and the Indiana Arts Commission is offering a workshop that will provide information on art project funding.
Boone County nonprofits interested in completing an arts project are encouraged to attend the Jan. 8 workshop to learn about available funding from the Indiana Arts Commission.
The workshop will be at 4 p.m. at the Boone EDC office, at 2030 Indianapolis Ave. in Lebanon.
The Boone County Economic Development Corp. seeks economic opportunities to support communities and enhance the quality of life for all Boone County residents.
“This particular grant doesn’t just focus on murals, it also is available for agencies that might do theater, music, any sort of art-related activities,” said Amy Hammerle, workforce and community development manager at Boone Economic Development Corp. “The more art-related cultural activities that we can bring to our community only gives value to living and playing and working here.”
The Arts Project Support grants provide funding to Indiana arts and non-arts organizations to support arts activities, such as a one-time event, a single production, an exhibition, an educational seminar or series of related arts activities, such as art classes or training sessions.
