Carmel Earth Fare grocery store to close Jan. 11

Earth Fare, an organic food supermarket, will close in Carmel Jan. 11, a company spokeswoman confirmed Dec. 17. There will be sale of 20 percent off products until the closing date at the company-owned store, 1392 Range Line Road.

The spokeswoman said she had no information on how many employees the store has or the reason for closing. At the time of its opening in June 2013, the Carmel store expected to hire 80 to 90 full- and part-time employees.

The only other Earth Fare in Hamilton County is 13145 Levinson Ln. in Noblesville. There also is a store in Greenwood. Its headquarters are in Asheville, N.C.
