Duke Energy Indiana customers will have an opportunity to provide feedback on a proposed 19 percent rate increase at a public field hearing set for 6 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Carmel High School auditorium, 520 E. Main St.

Attendees will hear an overview of the rate case process, have the opportunity to speak on the record with Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission members and visit with the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor staff members to share questions and feedback.

Written comments may be submitted by Oct. 23 at in.gov/oucc/2361.htm or by email at [email protected].

Duke Energy provides electric service to 840,000 customers in 69 Indiana counties. The proposed rate increases would take the bill for 1,000 kilowatt hours from $120.30 to $142.95 and be phased in beginning in 2020.
