A Noblesville teen is in critical condition after a serious accident at Ind. 32 and Hague Road in Noblesville.

At approximately 4:37 p.m. Aug. 9, police officers and firefighters from the Noblesville Police Dept. and Noblesville Fire Dept. responded to the intersection on a report of a crash involving two vehicles.

Police said based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, they believed a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, driven by Alexa R. Lockhart, 18, was traveling southbound on Oakmont Drive and was stopped at the stop sign at Ind. 32. Police said Lockahart then pulled onto Ind. 32, attempting to head eastbound, but pulled into the path of a westbound 2001 Mercedes, driven by Ana Roche, 67, Westfield.

Lockhart was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis. As of press time, she is in critical condition.

Roche was taken by ambulance to Riverview Health hospital in Noblesville, where she was treated for minor injuries.

No other occupants were in either vehicle.

Police said there are no indications that alcohol or weather contributed to the crash.
