Cirilo “Guilo” Gonzalez, 87, of Fishers, died May 18 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in  Indianapolis.

Due to historical records in Puerto Rico, Cirilo was born either March 28, 1932, or May 13, 1932. He enjoyed celebrating both dates.

He was raised by Inez Rodriguez and Emilio Rodriguez in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. His biological parents were Jova Gonzalez and Florencio Galarza from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.

Cirilo was active with the churches he attended, being a servant of Christ to many and served in leadership. He was a devoted Christian who loved to memorize Psalms. He lived in Puerto Rico until he was 21. Then, he moved to Chicago, where he married and raised a family.

Cirilo worked 31 years as a foreman for Ekco Products Co. in Chicago. He lived in Chicago until he was 55.
When he retired, Cirilo returned to Puerto Rico and lived there for many years until he was 82. He then moved to Indiana.

He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Aida Lina Ramos, and children, Ada Doris Gonzalez, Aida (Cesar) Muñoz, Felipe (Vilma) Gonzalez and Jose Antonio (Lucy) Gonzalez. Cirilo was preceded in death by his youngest son, Carlos Gonzalez.

He had eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
