Where’s Amy attended the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis 2019 Annual Campaign Kickoff VIP Dinner and took in an unforgettable stage reading of “The Soap Myth” featuring actor Ed Asner and cast April 30 at the Palladium in Carmel. The dinner featured special guest speaker David Bernstein, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. “The Soap Myth” is fiction inspired by real people and real events. It is based on an article in Moment Magazine about Holocaust survivor Morris Spitzer. Asner gave an emotional reading with his cast. The audience was moved by his performance. After the show, Where’s Amy had exclusive access to take photos of Asner with Indianapolis-area Jewish community leaders, including Lindsey Mintz, Debra Barton Grant, Michael G. Skolnick and David Bernstein. Filmmakers Ted Green and Mika Brown also attended and had the chance to reconnect with Asner, who narrated their award-winning documentary “Eva” about Holocaust survivor Eva Kor.
