Letter: Change the face of politics

0

Editor,

Each day as I meet with neighbors and engage in conversations which matter to the people of Fishers, I am more convinced than ever of the need for changing the face of politics.

The majority of campaign funds of our present elected officials come from special interest. It’s time to redefine politics and put Fishers on the map as the game changer. I pledge that I will not accept any campaign donations from individuals, companies or any other entities seeking to do business with the City of Fishers.

I want safety and security for all. Soldiers, educators, first responders, doctors and nurses all work to build, protect and save our nation and therefore will always be close to my heart. Because of this, I also pledge to donate my entire City Council salary to the Fishers Police and Firefighters Foundations.

I look forward to bringing a fresh business perspective to the city council, ensuring sustainable economic development and promoting civic engagement in our community.  My involvement with the Redevelopment Commission and serving as Vice President of the Building Corporation of the City of Fishers, gives me the foundation I need to move Fishers forward.

Now is the right time for me to give back to the community and help make Fishers a better place for families.  Now is the time to invest in Fishers.  Now is the time to vote for Singh!
