As I look at our choices in Westfield, I strongly endorse the election of Tammy Havard for clerk-treasurer.
Tammy is an expert and an innovator. As financial strategist for the City of Westfield, she has proven she can be the finance leader the city needs. She recovered more than $1 million of Westfield’s food and beverage taxes and led the 2016 special census netting an additional $1 million to the city.
Tammy’s commitment to Westfield is seen in other ways. She is president of her HOA board, an inaugural mentor for Youth Assistance, former facilitator of the WeCAN neighborhood program and is a Daisy Troop leader. She serves while being a mom to her two children with the help and support of her husband.
Tammy and I started working for the city more than 11 years ago when Westfield became a city. I have seen her in action and personally experienced her dedication, drive and talent.
With more than a decade in finance, coupled with degrees from Arizona State, Carnegie Mellon and a certification from Harvard, there is no doubt Tammy has the qualifications.
