Noblesville basketball coach McCauley stepping down

Noblesville Schools announced April 22 that Noblesville High School boys varsity basketball coach Brian McCauley is stepping down.

Officials from the district said McCauley shared the decision while meeting with school officials to review the basketball program. McCauley has been the coach since 2014 and also is a social studies teacher at the high school.

“I want to thank coach McCauley for serving our student-athletes these past five years,” NHS athletic director Leah Wooldridge said. “He is a great basketball mind, and we have appreciated his hard work and dedication to our basketball program.”

District officials said they will begin the process of hiring a replacement immediately and will announce their selection at a later date.

McCauley will remain as a teacher with Noblesville Schools.
