The OneZone Chamber is taking more steps to involve its members with the launch of the monthly Caffeinated Conversation program in 2019.

OneZone COO Jack Russell created the program, which he said will serve as a way to network and learn about local and state initiatives.

“Really, the goal is to have some educational pieces around the community about the community and also visit some unique places that people may not normally be able to visit,” Russell said. “It’s an opportunity for us to really get out into the community and educate people on some of the great things that are going on. For our membership to be able to get those pieces of information out there is always great.”

The first program will be 8 to 9 a.m. Jan. 15 at MJ Insurance, 571 Monon Blvd., Suite 400, in Carmel. The presentation will be about the City of Carmel. Russell said his goal is to feature the City of Carmel or the City of Fishers at least twice a year each.

“We just want to highlight those entities,” he said.

The February program will feature Hamilton County Community Foundation President Tom Killian Feb. 19 at the Palladium in Carmel. Registration is required for each program. Members are admitted free. Admission is $10 for non-members. Most Caffeinated Conversations are limited to 30 attendees.

“This program came up when we implemented our strategic planning because one of the biggest feedbacks was making sure advocacy was an important part of our membership and that advocacy was an important goal to the chamber,” Russell said. “So, through this program, we really are putting in parts of our strategic plan and I’m excited about it.”
