Guerin Catholic responding to bullying video made by cheerleaders

Guerin Catholic High School is handling a bullying incident today that involves several students.

Current in Noblesville been made aware of a video posted on social media that shows Guerin Catholic High School cheerleaders naming a peer and proceeding to talk about the individual in a disrespectful manner.

At 9:21 p.m. Dec. 25, the school released the following statement through the Guerin Catholic Athletics Twitter account:

“Guerin Catholic Athletics is aware of the unfortunate situation and is taking the necessary steps to address it immediately. We appreciate all those who have brought the situation to our attention.”

Others in the community are calling for the students to be expelled, saying the video is not representative of the school or a majority of its students and their families.

School officials have not released any other official statements said they will provide an update on the situation later today.
