State Bank of Lizton announced plans Nov. 27 to donate a check for $32,000 to the United Way of Central Indiana, a community impact organization with a goal of improving the lives of Central Indiana residents. The bank ran an employee campaign, inviting its staff to give back. The campaign was chaired by employees Amy Losh and Ryan Murphy and involved several events, including a chili cook off and a silent auction. Several bank staff participated in the program. The bank chipped in to bring the total to $32,000. State Bank of Lizton has nine full-service locations throughout Hendricks and Boone counties.
