Having left his hometown of Fishers 10 years ago for college, Stuart Ryan is delighted to be back. Ryan, 28, joined Sadler Orthodontics in July after earning a master’s degree in orthodontics from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Ryan is a 2008 graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School and a 2012 graduate of Indiana University. He always had an interest in health care and caring for others because of his father and grandfather’s involvement in the field. He first pursued a dental surgery degree at the IU School of Dentistry and studied orthodontics there until 2018.

“I was always interested in orthodontics because I felt like it was an amazing way to help people achieve a smile they’ve always dreamed of and help enhance their self-confidence,” he said.

Ryan said it was his dream to return to Fishers to practice because he felt so connected to the people. His goal is to positively impact patients and the community.

“For me, it’s more than just straightening teeth,” he said. “It’s really wanting to make a difference, getting to know our patients on a personal level and developing these lasting relationships that will hopefully help make Fishers an even better community than it already is.”

Ryan wants to pay it forward by mentoring dentistry and orthodontics students.
