Broken pipe leads to temporarily closure of Carmel’s Flowing Well

0

The natural spring-fed Flowing Well at 116th Street east of Gray Road has temporarily closed after a broken water pipe was discovered Aug. 19.

Once the repair is complete, water samples will be tested before the well reopens. While the timing of that process is unknown, the public can monitor the situation on the Carmel Parks & Recreation social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The public is asked to not remove or jump over the temporary barricades installed to prevent people from collecting the water.

The Flowing Well is a long-time Carmel landmark known for its spring water, attracting people from Carmel and beyond.
