Concert goers were evacuated from an Aug. 9 Rascal Flatts concert at Ruoff Home Mortgage Center in Noblesville.

Police say shortly before the end of the show, law enforcement personnel on site were informed by the venue’s staff of a safety issue.

Live Nation has issued the following statement concerning the incident:

“Last night, a safety concern presented itself during the Rascal Flatts concert…Venue staff and local officials followed standard protocols to ensure the safety of guests, the artists and staff. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the matter.”

Attendees left the venue without being informed of the situation.

“People keep asking me (what happened,) but I really have no idea,” said Holly Whitehead, who attended the show with her husband. “The concert ended at 10:45 p.m. We waited around expecting another song or encore, but they (Rascal Flatts) never came back out, and they made an announcement that it was over, so we left.”

Sheriff’s office deputies would not comment further on the incident, citing an open investigation.

“As this is an open and active investigation, the Sheriff’s Office has no further details, including the type of safety issue, available for release at this time,” the HCSO said in a statement.”
