The Carmel Rotary Club, a local chapter of the national service club, utilizes CarmelFest to continue its service mission. Money generated from the event is donated to support outreach initiatives in Hamilton County, including programs that address food insecurity, elementary school needs, Habitat for Humanity, Circle of Kindness and grants to aid county nonprofits.

“The collaboration (between Carmel Rotary and CarmelFest) is very important and is (Carmel Rotary’s) main source for raising funds to continue to help our community,” said John Stanley, Carmel Rotary Club president. “Many Rotarians take pride in being able to volunteer at CarmelFest, knowing that the funds raised will have a positive impact and help our community.”

Carmel Rotary has presented CarmelFest since 2003, when the City of Carmel asked the club to assume the leadership duties. The city continues to support the festival by providing numerous city personnel from the fire, police and street departments to help with setup and public safety throughout the event.
