The Groundhog 7 race benefiting the Zionsville Food Pantry will return to town Feb. 4. It will begin at 1 p.m. at Zionsville Community High School, 1000 Mulberry St.

The entry fee is a donation of a canned food item. The Groundhog 7 is s one of the main collection events for the food pantry each year.

“(The race is) a benefit to the running community as well as the community in general,” Race Director Jesse Davis said.

This year the 7-mile course will be run in reverse from previous years. Runners will be chip-timed and can purchase a T-shirt if they register in advance.  Davis said the event is for “walkers and runners of all abilities.”

Register to participate or volunteer for the Groundhog 7 at indyrunners.org or getmeregistered.com.
