Carmel’s new coffee shop and roastery, Indie Coffee Roasters, opened its doors for the first time for friends and family Jan. 20 to celebrate its grand opening. The shop, 220 E. Main St., officially opened for business Jan. 23.

Alec and Jenny Tod collaborated with friends Diane and Kevin McAndrews to start the business to bring people together, to serve and to become a home for the Carmel community.

“I really hope it’s a place where people of all races, all religions, all backgrounds and all genders find a home,” Kevin said. “(They) can come and use the coffee as a vessel to build great relationships and have great ideas.”
