Carmel Clay Schools’ review of leadership not addressed during Nov. 13 meeting

For the second month in a row, the Carmel Clay Schools board of trustees met without two of its top administrators.

The school board put Supt. Nicholas Wahl and Director of Human Resources Corinne Middleton on administrative leave Oct. 10 to conduct a review of the district’s leadership. Few details have been released since then, although district officials confirmed the review does not involve interactions with students or criminal activity.

School board President Layla Spanenberg said after the Nov. 13 meeting that the review is ongoing. District officials have not indicated when they expect it to be complete.
