Authors announced for Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation’s Guilded Leaf luncheon

Six authors have been announced to speak at the annual Guilded Leaf Book & Author luncheon presented by the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation.

The authors are:

Ben Blum, author of Ranger Games, a true story of soldiers, a family and a bank robber (Blum is a family member of one of the robbery perpetrators)

Laura Martin, a Zionsville mom and author of the Edge of Extinction series about dinosaurs and underground civilizations

Janet Peery, a National Book Award finalist for her first novel. Her second novel, The Exact Nature of Our Wrongs, reveals a family at its best and worst and its unbelievable bonds

Peter Hernon, author of The Great Rescue – American Heroes, An Iconic Ship and The Race to Save Europe in WWII, which commemorates the centennial of America’s entry into World War I

Danya Kukafka, author of Girl in Snow, an exploration of identity and the razor sharp line between love and obsession

Amy Stewart, author of four New York Times bestsellers and the Kopp Sisters series, which follows the true story of one of America’s first female deputy sheriffs and her sisters

Columnist, author and speaker Lori Borgman will serve as the moderator. The Book & Author Luncheon is from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at Ritz Charles, 12156 N. Meridian St. in Carmel.

The event will kick off with Writers at the Pavilion, a casual opportunity for guests to meet the authors and enjoy wine and craft beers, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Ritz Charles.
