What happened: The APC held a public hearing on Haworth Business Park.
What it means: The business park is proposed for more than 37 acres on the southeast corner of 169th Street and Oak Ridge Road. Uses could include an engineering research office, a distribution facility, a warehouse, an industry partnership training school and more. Proposers requested a lot size of 1.2 acres, below the minimum of three acres, to allow for the possibility of smaller buildings, such as business incubators. Public comments included concern over traffic and buffering for the nearby daycare.
What happened: The APC held a public hearing on Dartown Crossing Planned Unit Development.
What it means: The development is proposed by Edgerock Development and would encompass 39 acres on the northwest corner of Ind. 32 and Dartown Road. It would allow for retail development and is in the Family Sports Capital of America Addendum of Westfield’s comprehensive plan. The only comment during the public hearing regarded concern over more gas stations placed along Ind. 32.
