Emergency management giving out sandbags for flooding today


To assist Hamilton County residents prepare for potential flooding, Hamilton County Emergency Management has sandbags available today, May 4, from 1 to 8 p.m.

Filled sandbags are available for self-service loading at 1717 Pleasant St. in Noblesville.

Proof of Hamilton County residency is required to obtain the bags. Sandbags are most useful ahead of flooding; residents should take steps ahead of time to prevent any possible flood waters. Sandbags are only available for flood mitigation.

In the event of a weather related problem, contact Hamilton County Public Communications at 317-773-1282 or 911 for an emergency.
