Pet Valu to open 2nd Carmel store

By Heather Collins

Pet Value will soon open a second store in Carmel.

The new shop is set to hold a soft opening May 26 at 1356 S. Range Line Road in the Range Line Crossing shopping center, with a grand opening celebration expected in July.

“Pet Valu is expanding in this market, and we felt Carmel needed a great community pet retailer,” said Anna DiGregorio, director of marketing for the U.S. Division of Pet Valu.

Pet Valu’s first Carmel shop is in The Bridges at 11503 Spring Mill Road.

The retailer offers more than 7,000 pet products, including holistic and premium brands of pet foods and treats, as well as a wide selection of pet supplies, DiGregorio said.

Pet Valu associates are trained through the UC Davis Extension School of Veterinary Medicine in California.

“We’re excited and ready to serve the local community,” DiGregorio said. “We also work very closely with shelters and rescues to help find forever homes for pets.”

Throughout the year, Pet Valu partners with local organizations for adoption events, in-store adoption, national donation drives and pet food bank programs.

Pet Valu currently has more than 300 locations throughout the U.S.
