The Zionsville chapter of Tri Kappa will host its fourth Savor, Sip and See fundraising event at 6 p.m. May 6. Attendees raise money for the community while browsing local shops and sampling food and drinks along Main Street.

Savor, Sip and See is a progressive dinner down Main Street with options from 18 retail shops and 18 restaurants, including Noble Order, Salty Cowboy and Flamme Burger. There also will be a beer tent and live music.

The event is split into three time blocks: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for appetizers, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for small plates and 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for desserts. Each segment includes six restaurant options.

Last year, Tri Kappa raised $12,000. Amanda Vetor, event co-chair, said organizers would like to raise between $13,000 and $15,000 this year.

“The main organizations that rely on us for money, that would be a huge thing for them if we could reach that number,” Vetor said.

Tri Kappa is a statewide philanthropic organization for women. Its goal is to promote charity, culture and education throughout Indiana by offering grants to local organizations.

In the past, the Zionsville chapter has donated to the Zion Nature Center, Zionsville Community Schools and the Boone County Child Advocacy Center. Tri Kappa also awards four scholarships each year to high school students.

“I love that Zionsville is a small community. That’s one of the reasons why we moved here, and (because) the community supports its members so well and its schools so well,” Vetor said.

Savor, Sip and See tickets are $50. All proceeds benefit the Zionsville community through Tri Kappa’s grants and scholarships.
