The foundation and Noblesville’s Smith’s Jewelers will host jeweler designer Freida Rothman’s Trunk Show from 6 to 8 p.m. April 19 at The Bridgewater Club, 3535 E. 161st St., Carmel. Noblesville’s Smith’s Jewelers, owned by Esther and O’Dell Lakes, will devote 20 percent of sales from the event to Riverview Health Foundation to support the Women of Vision Giving Club.

“We’re going to include hors d’oeurves and beverages to enjoy while they’re shopping,” Jessica Deering, Riverview Health’s volunteer/events manager

Deering said Smith’s Jewelers has supported the club twice previously.

The club supports women’s service programs and equipment with grants at Riverview Health. Those who donate at a level of $250 are associate members and those who donate $500 or more are voting members, who decide on which of the grant applications to fund each year.

One program that typically receives grants is Riverview’s Touch of Love program, founded by Jerri Barnes. She has a network of knitting volunteers.

“They knit handmade blankets for every baby born at Riverview,” Deering said. “They also put together bags of essential baby items that can be given to anyone that has a little extra need. They’ve extended that to the cancer program as well. So, they’ll knit hats, shawls and lap blankets. Another program that gets a lot of support is our maternity services. They will typically purchase car seats so that way we can make sure that everybody is able to take their baby home safely if they are unable to purchase a car seat on their own. They also supply diaper bags. There is support for lactation services. We also have Women’s Center, which works with cancer patients. They typically will apply for funds to put booklets together for patients, who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s a resource for them to be able to navigate those waters.”

There is a registration fee of $10, which also can be purchased at the door. To register, contact [email protected] or call 317-776-7938.
