Where’s Amy wined and dined at the 2017 Taste of Carmel’s exclusive VIP pre-party at the 502 East Event Centre. More than 1,000 friends of Orchard Park Elementary gathered together for the largest indoor food experience in Carmel to sample food and libations from more than 50 local vendors. I especially enjoyed chatting with Chef Amy von Eiff from A Cut Above Catering, loved sampling the newest Hoosier Momma Blood Orange cocktail mix from Zionsville’s own KC Cranfill and was dazzled by Rascia Johnson’s mouthwatering creative cakes. Honestly, every participant’s foods were truly delicious with every bite. These vendors came ready to delight the palettes of all who attended to support the school.
The night also included an impressive silent auction, well-stocked wine pull, and Carmel City Councilor Jeff Worrell topped off the end of the night with a raffle, which included a sparking diamond necklace from Distinctive Diamonds.
Proceeds will be used for school-wide programs, learning materials and a giving tree. Financial assistance is provided to nearly 50 percent of Orchard Park’s students for meals, school supplies and book rental; that’s why events like Taste of Carmel, along with community support, are essential. Yep, Taste of Carmel was a hit and a favorite of Where’s Amy.
