A Fishers man has been arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after being involved in a wreck that killed an Indianapolis woman.

Hernan J. Posada-Rodriguez, 24, has been charged with operating while intoxicated (A-misdemeanor) and operating while intoxicated causing death (level 5 felony). Police said he was driving eastbound on 96th Street near Knights Bridge Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m. Jan 8 when his vehicle slammed into a 2004 Saturn driven by Monica Davila, 44, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Accident investigators said that Davila turned her vehicle in front of Posada-Rodriguez’s.

Posada-Rodriguez was taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
