Letter: Thank you for a successful Carol of Homes

Editor,

What a great way to ring in the holiday season, with Christmas in the Village and the Zionsville Show Choirs Carol of Homes. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community of Zionsville, parents, students, visitors and the Zionsville merchants for helping to make the fifth annual Carol of Homes such a success! This premier holiday event has grown each year since its inception, and we were so excited to welcome over 700 guests into six beautifully decorated homes Dec. 3.

The unique part of the Carol of Homes is the show choir students in each home sharing their talents. Over the years, the Royalaires and Choralaires have been amazing audiences with their shows, and we are grateful to have them perform in a more intimate setting during the Holiday Home Tour. Thank you to the directors of the choirs, Aaron Coates and Deana Broge, for their willingness to work on this fundraising project.

This event would not be a success without the following: the six homeowners that graciously opened their doors for visitors throughout the day; the event and ZSI fundraising chairs; our business sponsors; and the 100-plus students who gave up their Saturday to bring the sounds of the season to all of our guests throughout the day. Thank you to all who turned out for the fifth annual home tour.

We are looking forward to six new homes next year! Don’t forget to mark Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 on your calendar.
