Snapshot: Blessing bags donated to the Horizon House

For the third year, Angie and Dan Edwards, along with kid volunteers, filled more than 100 backpacks and donated them to Horizon House to aid homeless persons in downtown Indianapolis. Each bag included: winter hat, gloves, underwear, socks, jar of peanut butter, granola bars, snacks, tissues, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant and bars of soap. There was also a large donation of new sweatshirts and approximately 25 blankets. Those who donated include Friends at Carmel Fire Dept.; Food Protection Services; Schahet Hotels; Holladay Properties; Dr. Jeff Biggs; Dr. Jason Flannagen; Credit Union of Westfield; the seventh and eighth grade Westfield Middle School basketball teams; an eighth-grade boys small group; Northview Westfield Campus; and individual families from Westfield.
