A Lebanon Police Dept. officer is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the foot on Nov. 9 after completing a training exercise at the Boone County Jail.
Sgt. Ted Boling was preparing to clean his department-issued handgun when it accidentally discharged and struck his right foot. He was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. He will be off work as he recovers.
The incident is being investigated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
