IMMI operates several locations across the globe with its main headquarters in Westfield.

“We’re the global leader in the design, testing and manufacturing in vehicle safety systems that protect tens of millions of lives all over the world,” said Julie Cooley, marketing and communications director at IMMI. “Think of everything from fire trucks to semi-trucks to military vehicles to children’s car seats. We provide the safety equipment for those. We do not provide those for passenger vehicles but pretty much everything else.”

The honor is determined by scores across six categories including culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions and reporting and analysis.

“We believe our team members are our main focus. We want them to be healthy in their mind, body and spirit, so we offer free access to our healthcare clinic right here at IMMI with a doctor,” Cooley said. “We also have fitness facilities along with a personal trainer. We have a chaplain on site. We also offer classes for free, financial counseling. This year we increased our commitment by offering Dave Ramsey’s financial Peace University to our team members. We also are offering our team members to go to a Family Life Weekend or Marriage to Remember conferences. We go above and beyond because we care so much about our team members.”

IMMI employs approximately 550 people in its Westfield location, and it believes in giving back to its community.

“This year, we launched our IMMI Serves Initiative. What that is we will give two paid days off for any team member to serve in their community because we believe giving back is so important,” Cooley said.
