Community Hospital North has voluntarily suspended the use of six operating rooms to conduct air quality testing , according to a statement from the hospital Oct. 10.
The statement read:
“During a routine survey, the Joint Commission identified a potential issue at Community Hospital North related to discoloration on the ceiling tiles and walls in the operating room corridor area. Community is committed to ensuring the safety of our patients and their families, our employees and our physicians. Community voluntarily made the decision to suspend use of the impacted operating rooms until tests confirm that any potential safety issue is resolved.”
