Beginning next week, lanes between Campus Parkway and Ind. 38 on I-69 will be shifted. According to a press release from Indiana Dept. of Transportation, two lanes in each direction will be shifted toward the right shoulder. This will allow for construction on the third lane near the median.
Various and alternating lane closures will take place 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow for lane shift markings, and after that, overnight lane closures will take place to allow for the placing of a concrete barrier and an entrance and exit for construction trucks. Motorists should be aware of construction trucks entering and exiting the interstate.
The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph and 50 mph when workers are present. Indiana State Police will be patrolling the area.
