Noblesville police arrest Indianapolis man after shooting at a Noblesville residence

On Sept. 12 at approximately 12:51 p.m., police officers from the Noblesville Police Dept. responded to the address of 755 Noble Run in Noblesville in reference to the sound of gunfire.

According to a press release from the police department, while en route to the scene, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Cumberland Road and Conner Street in Noblesville.

As a result, four subjects were detained for questioning. According to a press release, based on witness information and potential evidence at the scene, officers arrested one individual, James Devere Williams, Jr., 28, of Indianapolis.

It was reported that at least two shots were fired outside of the residence. No one was reported injured as a result.

Williams was charged with criminal recklessness with a gun, a C felony, unlawful possession of a firearm, a B felony, and possession of cocaine, a D felony.
