Prairie Tykes at Conner Prairie: Wagons Ho! ● Your kids know the wheels on the bus go round-and-round, but do they realize the wheels on wagons driven by pioneers moving westward did, too? After hearing a tale of travel, children will then, weather permitting, have the opportunity to take a wagon ride outdoors. 78th Annual Carmel Lions Club Fish Fry ● Get a delicious meal and support a good cause at the same time! Menu items include North Atlantic Cod sandwiches, hots dogs, baked beans, coleslaw, French fries, assorted drinks and yummy desserts. You can request dine in or carry out. Lydia Hawkins’ Funeral Reenactment at Conner Prairie ● Prairietown’s beloved Lydia Hawkins has died following the birth of her latest child, leaving behind her husband and several children. Join the citizens of Prairietown as they share stories about Lydia. There will be sample funeral biscuits and shape-note singing, a style of 19th-century hymns.
