Zionsville parents now have an easy and last-minute option for booking a baby sitter. Thanks to Zionsville resident and parent Cristie Wilt, the online babysitting service Sitting Made Simple is now available locally.

Sitting Made Simple allows parents to book certified sitters, usually college-aged females, on demand. Wilt originally used the service while living in Ohio, where the franchise started. After moving to Indiana, Wilt and her husband found themselves missing the convenient service.

“As a part-time mom, I really relied on it for childcare because I was working two days a week, and it was just really hard to find childcare willing to work random hours,” Wilt said. “When we came to Indianapolis about four years ago, I didn’t have any sitters and didn’t know anybody, so it was hard to find somebody.”

Desperately missing the on-demand childcare provider, Wilt reached out to see if Sitting Made Simple might make their way to Indy.

“I had actually talked to the Columbus branch to see if they would consider moving out to Indy,” Wilt said. “They said they would need somebody to run it. When they decided to franchise, we decided to purchase a franchise here in Indy. My husband and I knew we were interested in it at that point.”

Today, Wilt has Sitting Made Simple Indy running in full swing.

“I feel like it’s been great,” Wilt said. “We have a little over 60 families, and we just launched May 9. We have about 25 sitters right now and have received some great feedback from moms saying how amazing this is and the sitters as well.”
