World Traveler (Ages 12-15) ● Travel around the world in just 80 minutes! Teenagers aged 12-15 will be able to “travel” to different nations by competing in different and fun challenges. Clay Terrace Summer Concert Series ● This year marks the sixth annual Summer Concert Series at Clay Terrace on Thursday evenings! Koteewi Aerial Adventure: Grand Opening! ● Starting Friday, anyone can participate in a new self-guided course of 60 obstacles and zip lines at Koteewi Park. The route offers progressive degrees of challenges for all ages. Carpenters and Cabins ● Kids ages 3-6 will love creating a miniature log cabin that they can take home! Father’s Day Pottery ● In celebration of upcoming Father’s Day, children ages 2 through 10 are invited make a special craft for Dad. They will paint a mug using their handprint as a brush, followed by a reading of “Daddies are for Counting Fireflies.” All supplies are provided during this program, and finished mugs will be available for pickup at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office on June 18. Conner Prairie: Barker Brothers Kiln Burn ● Find out how a searing-hot fire and salt can make the most beautiful finish on kiln-burned pottery. Be sure to catch the most dramatic part, when the fire reaches 2,300 degrees and flames shoot out of the chimney! This usually happens in the afternoon. Westfield Playhouse Presents: The Nerd ● Set in the city of Terre Haute, this comedy is about the relationship between selflessness and selfishness during a dinner party that doesn’t quite go as planned. Drawing Class (Session 2) ● Learn to improve your artistic skills in this art class for all skill levels. Nickel Plate Studio Artists Bruce Neckar and John Reynolds will provide subject matter and provide tips. Nickel Plate Arts will be responsible for providing graphite sticks, newsprint and drawing boards, although participants may bring their own materials. Must be 15 or older.
