Orville C. Quakenbush, 89, Noblesville, died May 14 at Riverview Health. He was born Jan. 14, 1927 to Cevil and Austa (King) Quakenbush in Marion, Ind.
Orville proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He worked in construction at Tousley-Bixler Company and was a member of Union AFLCIO of Terre Haute and American Legion Post 45 of Noblesville.
Orville is survived by his sons, Bob (Liz) Quakenbush, Dennis Quakenbush and Tony Quakenbush, step-daughter Sharon (Ron) Evans, step-sons Alan (Donna) McElroy and Steve McElroy, 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Orville was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Hill) Quakenbush, in 1998.
