With work that began May 9, E & B Paving Inc. has shifted traffic lanes on Ind. 32/38 in Noblesville.

The lanes have moved to the south side of the highway for crews to begin construction of a roundabout at Presley Boulevard, one-quarter mile east of Ind. 37.

The Indiana Dept. of Transportation said the roundabout will connect to the city of Noblesville’s Presley Boulevard extension, which spans between Ind. 32/38 and Pleasant Street to the south, making a connection adjacent to Best Buy.

A precast concrete box culvert to channel a tributary of Stony Creek will be installed under the highway as part of the project, which will require closing Ind. 32/38 for up to 14 days beginning in June. A specific closure date will be announced by INDOT in the future.

INDOT said during the road closure, a signed detour will route state highway traffic south to Interstate 69 via State Road 37 and State Road 13.

All lanes are expected to be open to traffic in September, and all work on the $1.6 million contract is expected to be complete before the end of this year.
